Hello CPS Families, Our school year is off to a great start! Learning is well underway in every classroom, and students are settling into our new routines. We are all looking forward to the school year ahead!! Speaking of routines, we would like to say THANK YOU to families for starting the year off well, and not driving through our bus loop during morning drop off or afternoon pick up. A reminder that the bus loop should not be entered when buses are present. We appreciate your efforts in parking on the street or using our 'Drop and go' area to drop off students. Please remember that this area is strictly for drop off. It is not meant to park in for any length of time. For safety reasons, we have changed our policy for late students this school year. If a student is late and enters through the front door, parents/guardians MUST come into the office to sign their child(ren) in, no matter what time of day. We need you to enter the school and use the yellow binder for sign-in. Thank you for your cooperation with this. It's that time of year again when families are required to review and complete some important forms for the school year. You should have received an email from the CBE last week to remind you of this. Please log into your MyCBE/PowerSchool account to complete the following for the 2024-2025 school year:
Please ensure that the Demographic Verification and Annual Authorization forms are completed by Monday, September 16. These forms are mandatory each year. Our annual Terry Fox Run is coming up next week. We are looking for a number of volunteers to help direct students around the course. If you have a valid police security clearance on file and can help out on Friday, September 20 between 9:30 and 11:00 am, please email Alison Bates-Church at albates@cbe.ab.ca. More information about donating to this year's run will be coming in next week's Week at a Glance.
